About Me
My name is Deanna Johnson and I am the founder of BMP Academy, an extension of Braids Made Perfect.
I have over 25 years of experience in the hair industry and have worked along side my mother in the early 90's at her beauty salon. At a very young age of 10, I learned how to braid and fell in love with the art of braiding. Since then, I've worked on various projects all across the GTA and London Ontario, from hair shows to music videos. Known in the industry as an expert in my field, I specialize in protective hairstyles created for black women and children.
January 2020, I created BMP Academy where I now teach others the skills and tricks I have learned along the way through hands-on classes, online classes and workshops.
